Wesak is widely celebrated throughout the East as the Festival of the Buddha. It is considered the high point of the spiritual year when forces of enlightenment flow from the higher worlds into the mind of humanity.

While Buddhists celebrate Wesak as the time that marks the birth, death and enlightenment of the Buddha, ageless wisdom students regard it as a living event. At the exact moment of the Taurus full moon, the Buddha is said to return momentarily to earth, appearing to those gathered in a secluded valley in the Himalayas. The Christ stands before the Buddha and receives the Buddha’s blessings for the coming spiritual year on behalf of humanity sending it out to all human beings.

The Wesak full moon will be on April 23, 2024 at 4;49 pm PST. An easy way to remember this is that Wesak is first full moon following Easter Sunday.
